You've seen this before if you have the promotional video. If not then here you go. 6 interesting minutes of Chevy testing the durability of 3 orange 1976 Vegas on a non stop loop through death valley.

Timing belt replaced only on one? Should of been all 3........ At 50k they are due anyways, so thats good in my book. :th:

No mention on oil loss or did I miss it?

The Dura-Built engines were pretty tough. They never had the oil consumption issues that earlier Vegas had. In the end, by the time they had most of the problems worked out with the Vega they cancelled it.
