windshield still available

Postby Chris402 » Thu Jan 26, 2017 12:44 pm

After seeing a couple windshields for sale on ebay, one for $700. and one for $295 + 195 shipping . I noticed they are the same manufacturer AGp. So I checked with a local glass company and they are available. $375. with tint and antenna. have 2 month wait. till they get it. but better than almost 500. part number is dw840gbn

nice one Chris - good info.

https://electrek.co/2016/01/18/maker-te ... indshield/

http://agpglass.com/

but where exactly on the web where you able to find where we can actually submit or parse an order with them?

Thanks.

* I sent an email to them asking for clarification and will post the results here as there is no place to directly order from them. *

Senior savage, I don"t think you can order direct from AGP, they are the manufacturer. I spoke with a local glass company (Deep Elum Glass) who contacted their distributor. The distributor has an order coming in march from AGP. You can try a windshield company close to you just let them know that AGP does make the windshields for the Monza. Also right after I posted this originally I found a reply post by doc billet in the wanted section that he had just purchased a windshield at www.windshieldstogo.com It looks like they have them and much cheaper price. I have already ordered mine and am not going to cancel after the guy at Deep Elum spent his time to find it for me. Please post up what you find out. But looks like there are finally some less expensive options.

of course - they probably dont sell retail .. i posted to windshieldstogo.com and boy, are they reasonable ! $275.00 US installed with antenna in Seattle, $175.00 US if picked up uninstalled.

for what its worth i googled the part number you listed and found somebody selling one for 750$ stating how hard they are to find - boy, are they in for a surprise !

I ordered 1 with antenna from them, took a little while to get because of some confusion when I ordered. Seems that when they looked up their inventory it showed 1 available, by the time I placed my order someone else ordered and got the 1 that was in stock. I had to wait until they got a new shipment. Had it delivered to my shop. Came in a big box with plenty of protection. I'm happy with it.

Curious: are the replacement windshields the same quality as the originals? Same thickness?

Yeah, they are full of it. I ordered one last night and got this email this morning.

Subject: No Stock Locally

Sorry we do not have this in our local warehouses. We do have one we can send to you from a classic supplier for $370.00 plus $$160.00 shipping to a commercial address. If this is an option please let us know. In the meantime you have not been charged and we have canceled this order. Thank you W2G

So a $161 windshield is now $530!? Yeah, FO. Jerks...

Hey Zeke this guy is way closer to you! I bought mine from him, his computer showed stock but it wasn't to be found, so he ordered me one when everybody else said no no longer available! It came from a manufacturer (http://www.pilkington.com/)that also told me that. Price wasn't to bad as I recall and he had it at his place in under two weeks. Maybe you might want to double check with him: http://www.arnoldautoglass.ca/ I still have his number for you call him direct hopefully it is still good! Give me a shout if you want it early evening. Now that's a ride! Now beware Chris that windsheild is bigger than you think! The box it came in d :censored: n near filled the box on my Sonoma" with the hard tonneau cover, it was much bigger than I had planned on, as I had brought some parts up that way to try and make some deals with, so ended up having to leave a piece behind and retreive later. I'll try and get a size of the box later and I'll text it to you when I do get it. Harry
