1976 Buick skyhawk or chevy monza front end

Postby dejong1989 » Thu Jun 01, 2017 10:39 am

I am in search of a 1976 buick skyhawk or chevy monza wrap around front end. It is the same style as Bill Jenkins 76 pro stock car. It is for a friend and he does not want the newer version. I have searched everywhere and now I'm here. Anybody have any ideas?

I have a 77 grille in good shape, (same style as what you have pictured). I also have an air dam/bumper cover, but it is torn and needs repaired.

Yes it was an oops, It is my buddies car and I'm trying to help him get back onto the track before he misses too many races.

I am currently away for my job and won't be back until 24 June. My home and the parts are in Augusta, GA. Yes, I will sell or trade stuff for it. If you can't find anything by 24 June, let me know and I will get you some pics.

Thanks,
Ken

If the nose is the same as was used on grumpy jenkins car than based on the stickers on the restored car they were made by A&A fiberglass which is out of business.
Here are pictures. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=45267
After comparing the nose on the car now to vintage pictures on the web it is obviously not the same. I assume the original is no longer available. US BODY SOURCE has a similar 75-77 one piece nose.

You could possibly cut out/repair the grill area and graft it into the new front end.

The one I have is a 100% stock front nose. Not a fiberglass reproduction.

That is what I'm looking for Ken, if I can't find the original Mold than I will have to make one. I will keep you updated on the search.

I haven't found a front nose cone only piece but US Bodysource shows a whole front end [as in tilt front end] I was able to get "Showcars" to make just the "Cone" for me, (you may be able to get which ever of them you end up choosing to make just the front for you with just the standard amount of whining and begging{?}) but mine is the '78/'80 style and it took him 17 weeks to make this and threats of legal action to finally get it finished. So first is this place with only some grumbling about them: http://www.usbodysource.com/ and if you are a little [Ok a lot] masochistic there is: http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/monza.html Do your research before jumping on this one, there are many complaints about him and I am one of them! So be fore warned! Harry P.S. Either choice will require you to cut the grill slots. :(
