New to the site

Postby blackz » Wed Jun 28, 2017 10:09 am

I've been looking through this site since November of last year after I picked up a '76 Vega wagon. Lots of good tips and advice, I wish this was around 30 years ago when I had my 350 Monza.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Vega. I just had it out at the track last weekend.

It took a few runs to even remotely get it to hook on the old 185 tires, so now I have to do something about the rear end. Anyway, it's been a fun little street car.

It's just a 350 with the transdapt kit, I modified the oil pan myself. The rest of the car is pretty much stock. 6.5 rear with 2.92 gears.

Thanks everyone,
I'll try and take more pictures when I start on the rear end. I can't wait to see what it will do with some tires. Ive been looking around to see what is involved in getting a 275 tire to fit.

Someone else may chime in here, but to fit a 275 tire (which I'm assuming is 28" tall) under the body you'll need at least mini-tubs and maybe even extended wheel openings.

After looking into the 275 tire I am now looking into a 255, lol.
I added some stripes this morning.
