Big Bock install

I bought a 75 hatchback with no drivetrain I Have a Big Block Chevy to swap in' looking for info on air filter to hood clearance-does anyone use a remote filter?-we have a dmv law about no raised hoods that i am double checking (car came with a 4'' hood i hope can be used---
I have checked the forum and found great information on this swap from Mega Vega and others just havn't seen this question asked!

Start with a 14 x 3 air filter with an 1 1/4" drop base, with a 4" hood you may be able to use a taller filter depends on your intake manifold choice and motor mount height.
Any more drop or shorter filter will require a carb with a milled off choke housing.
small cap distributor clears the drop base air cleaner and the firewall better than an H.E.I.
An LS6 454 Corvette intake is VERY LOW Profile.
yes on the remote filter with big block headers.
Big block headers come close to the oil pan so for extended street driving an oil cooler is also a good idea.
A small block or an LS is really a better swap.
