What made it heavy duty, Dick? I've heard of them, (and even went on a wild goose chase after one once), but never knew what the internals were.

Extra gusseting on passenger side, more material under head bolt holes with rectangular openings, extra material between oil pump and water pump, extended ribbing on rear of block. It worked well for the midgets that ran them.

Jeez that seems a tad expensive to me but then again I have no idea what they are worth. It is just down the road a bit from me.

GM only produced 50 HD blocks and this one is NOS. If you are into vintage racing as well as into CV's and want to crank out the most HP, you'll want to start with this block. Otherwise there's a good chance you'll end up with something like below.
