AC condenser removal

Postby jim327monza » Sun Oct 22, 2017 10:11 am

while I have the motor out of the car (76 2+2) I want to replace as much of the ac system as possible . converting to vintage air 134-a system. Can the factory condenser come out threw the engine bay or dose the nose piece need to be removed?
Thanks in advance for your help! Jim H

I had hoped someone would respond, as I too, need to remove the a/c condenser from the dash,

hope it can be done from the engine compartment.

Condenser is NLA but drops out the front if hood latch support bracket is removed.

Evaporator coil (NLA) inside car requires removing the inside air box after removing dash. Info with pics here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=18963

Pressure test and reuse if good.
