I'm putting the car to bed soon and was wondering if it is better to store it with a full tank or with the 1/8th tank that it has now. It'll be parked for about 6 months.

I don't really know what is best but I have always filled mine before storing it for winter with no problems.

The tank should be full to prevent condensation in the tank.

In addition to filling the tank, I always put Stabil in mine. I put it in the tank when I am filling it up for the last time in the fall. Then I drive the car home and hope I go far enough for it to make it to the carb. :D

The car is in bed, had the BEST summer with the car in the nine years I've owned it! No break downs, two car shows, lots of cruise nights on Friday nights up and down 8th street to the DQ, got lots of comments about how you never see one of these cars and how they, or a friend of theirs had one in high school etc. Now I'm off to get the cancer in my throat cut out of me! A week or so in hospital and recovery then radiation! Good times to come next spring when all of this nonsense is behind me.

Talk to you guys soon.
