Probably the correct choice, I do not believe new tanks are available, and its a roll of the dice on a used tank. And with the EPA laws being enforced in most states now, the salvage yards have to empty all the fluids before a car is set out to be used for parts, for gas tanks they just drill or punch at least 1 hole in them to drain the gas. About 4 years ago I found a 74 Vega in a yard that looked like it had a new tank installed shortly before the owner stopped driving it, the rest of the car was rotted out but the tank was shiny and new looking, Exept it had 3 huge dents where they used an air hammer to puncture the tank and drain the gas!!!!!!
