My wife gave me the February '18 issue of Super Chevy for Christmas. I found coverage of the Classic Industries Super Chevy Muscle Car Challenge inside. One of the competitors was David Carroll with a '73 Vega using a Chevrolet Performance Ecotec crate motor. So I Googled it and found a couple of things showcasing this build. Pretty cool car! He did manage to convince Overkill to take time out of his busy schedule and build the front suspension pieces.

He's a great dude. He has a YouTube channel that shows some of the construction of the car.

A Cosworth owner from NC put the non-turbo version of this engine in his car along with a 5-speed from a Solstice in 2011, (I think it's the same engine). I'll try and find some pictures later tonight.

Dick,

Doesn't he have a thread in the Project Journal section?

I had a 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP with the turbo 2.0 and 5 speed. Very tunable. That thing was a beast! Around 300 hp with a tune in a 2600 lb. car is something else. That would be a great engine for a Vega!
