power steering with hooker front mount engine mounts

Postby mldeolde » Sat Nov 24, 2018 7:02 pm

has any one ever tried to use power steering with the hooker front mount engine mount system.. I do believe they say it wont work but it looks to me like it might be just possible. cpp in placentia california has a neat power steering box on ebay for around $ 284.00 . I think I will take some picks of my set up with some measurerments and see what they think.. with the size of tires I am running and the fact that I am getting weaker with age power steering may be a must in the near future.

I won't say it's impossible, but that is one of the reasons I changed my Vega to side mounts. You'll have to engineer your own brackets.

it looks like the power steering box will bolt up just like the manual unit that I have now but the problem is the very limited space for the hose connections. if I could get or make some very low 90 degree connectors I think it might just fit if I install them before I install the box in the car.

you also need to change the centerlink. Your car has the vega steering box.
