So, the 82 longbed 60degreeV-6, 2.8L, 4-sp manual, A/C, PS, S-10 I picked up a year or so ago is in need of a motor rebuild. Either a cam lobe is worn causing lifter noise or there is a bad lifter. I have a 89 4.3 on an engine stand in need of a total rebuild, and the 140 from the Vega on an engine stand that was running and only had maybe 5000 miles on fresh rings and sleves when we took it out of the car. The 130 has a header and an Offenhauser dual port on it.
I am considering putting the 140 in the S-10. I am not sure if the bellhousing will bolt up or which one it actually has in it.
The alternative is to get shed of the S10 and put the $$ into finishing FrankenVega. Too many vehicles around here.
