Nice read Greg, BTW Clyde on this site usually has or can dig up new sets 4 bolt type front brake rotors, not sure if he can find calipers as well or not.

At the moment my brakes are perfectly fine I actually have done some pretty good panic stops because of the shity drivers in the city LOL. Eventually I will have to make the five lug change but it could be years down the road.

ya, I'm rebuilding mine as a 4 bolt to start as I have a brand new set of 205-60-13 RWL BFG's and my near mint Chrome Modular wheels that I bought new in 1985. But once those are done I will probably swap to 5 bolt for bigger brakes and better tire rim choices and probably pull the 305 and drop a 350 in it at that time too.

It seems lately that H-Body cars of the 70's are finding a niche of popularity under the tag of "Unappreciated GM Cars". Well, better late than never. I have read a number of articles in the last year mostly on the Monza which praise these cars. I think this is due to the fact that the Vega still has the stigma as a rust bucket and a mechanical bust while the Monzas have the benefit of beautiful Italian styling. Watched a Barrett-Jackson auction on Motor trend and a discussion came up among the announcing crew with the Question why there weren't any Monzas and Vega's offered?
