i have seen in past posts that you can use a 68-71 nova gas pedal in the vega, is this just a good replacement pedql or is it a better functioning gas pedal?. just wondering, thanks. Art

I believe they would be referring simply to the plastic part which should be the same as an early ( maybe all years) Vega. 75 Monza (and possibly later years) use a smaller pedal which is the same as a mid 70's corvette.

Where can you find clutch and brake pedal pads?

Here is one source:

The newer second-gen Camaros went to the smaller clutch pedal pad, it is the same as the brake and clutch on Vegas.

Thanks Chuck, I guess no one reproduces the original pattern.

~ Check with NPD-National Parts Depot. They carry re-pops of OEM stuff for Fords and Chevys.
Here is a link to a Camaro brake/clutch pad.

That one is the original pattern. What year Vega? Maybe you have the second design pad on yours. They're a little more squarish. I'll see if I can find an example.

EDIT:
This is what the second design looks like:

These are original looking pads on a 75 or 76 cosworth

This is a ‘73 pedal. Just a bit different than the aftermarket ones.
Has anyone tried the aftermarket pads for fitment?

Sorry, I forgot about that style. I'm not aware of anyone who reproduces that one.
