Save a 6.5 blown up rear?

Is there any rearson to save the blown up 6.5 rear from my 76 vega ? Are brake backing plates interchangable to the 7.5?

I'm not sure if the backing plates are interchangeable. Ignore the center diameter, but do the bolt holes measure like this one?

I did look in my GM parts manual, and it says that for '76, that backing plate fits "All".

I think in 76 all H bodies went to the larger 9.5 x 2 rear brakes. So they should interchange....

I'm interested in the backing plates (If they are from larger drum brakes) if you are not using them. The suspension mounting brackets are worth something to someone upgrading their rear. You could cut off tubes and junk the center section. if it has the smaller vega brakes the springs, shoe to backing plate clips and parking brake struts are worth something.
