NON-AIR TO AIR

Postby dickydoo » Wed Jun 28, 2006 10:44 am

Trying to beat the central-Fla summer heat by adding air to my non-air Mirage.Does anybody have any experience with any of the aftermarket units, such as Vintage or Nostalgic air?

I've heard nothing but good things from people that have used Vintage Air products. They also seem to be pretty highly rated in magazines.

I have never used their stuff myself so I can't vouch for either company personally.

Dad installed a Vintage Air setup in his '57 Bel Air. Works good. He installed his about 6 years ago, and they've only improved since then. Do they even have a system to fit the H-body platform?

non-air to air

They do not carry anything specifically for the Monza(of course!)but size-wise,one of their smaller under the dash units may fit. Nostalgic air is located just outside Orlando area,so I may run up there to have the look at the car to see what will work.

While I already have factory air in my Mirage I do want to add air to my Vega. Since it is tubbed , tunnel ram SBC etc ....i am looking for a compact aftermarket unit. Years ago i worked at full service speed /rod shop . We installed quite a few of the Vintage Air units , they always worked well and the installations were pretty straight forward.

I am interested to see what you find out from Nostalgic Air .
