I failed to mention that this project is not going to get done any time in the near future; in fact, I sent the car itself to deep storage in a barn at my family farm at the other end of the province almost 300 miles away. It had been inside my garage for 15+ years, then outside in the summer and in my hauler for the winter for a few years. Then it spent the last 2 winters outside. The formerly rust-free car now has a few small holes in it. Not cool, but totally my own fault. Still worth saving, but that will only happen if i get it into the barn.
