Subaru steering column

Postby cpettersen » Mon Nov 12, 2018 6:42 pm

So this is really random but I found out that the steering column from a 97 Subaru Outback will fit in an H body, I had to bend the bracket out a little and drill the bolt holes slightly, but it after than it bolts right in. Not sure how helpful/ practical this knowledge is but I'm gonna use it for my car. The car is turning out to be more Japanese than American at this point haha!

Just curious, does that give you tilt? Only one of my coupes came with tilt, have another tilt column from a Pontiac that was going to be a future project to try and adapt. Post pics when you get it in.
Some people are like slinkies. They serve absolutely no useful purpose, but still put a smile on your face when pushed down a flight of stairs.

It should give tilt, I'm gonna have to do some notching though I think to make the tilt work, I'll post pics when I get back home this weekend.
