s10 manual gearbox swap anyone done it?

let me get this straight.. the "telescoping" colapsable part of the shaft can come apart with heat? if i could get that apart i could replace the part that doesnt fit! i didnt think it came apart

yes it comes a part a little heat to melt the plastic and pull it will slide apart

well my crafty friends came over the other night and looked at the situation.. it seems the factory power steering shaft is fine splines ( at the gearbox end) and the manual s10 box is coarse spline. they scooped up the shaft and are going to make somthing work!
