The S-10 manual box will bolt in and fit the pitman arm for the Monza power steering application. The input shaft is a different spline than the early p/s box. I believe the change occurred in 1977 or '78 - for a Nova at least, I think it was across the board.
The only problem is that the S-10 manual box has a sloooooow ratio. It's about 4 turns lock-to-lock. My brother put one in his '86 Monte Carlo drag car. Driving that, I don't think I would use one on the street. At times, you're all arms and elbows.
