S10 spindle swap without the negative camber

Here's a look at the new control arms. I need to install them yet to see what else is needed, like spacer bushings, and see whether regular rod ends will work in all positions. The guy who made them said the rear rod ends are at an angle, but he's had no problems. Just in case, I got stainless steel rod ends for the rear, which have more angle capability. Those are the thin ones on the legs with the tape.

Chuck, those look pretty beefy and lots of adjustment.

How much for a set? I'd be game if the price is reasonable.

I'm planning on talking to him about that this week. Considering what I have in parts and materials, though, I suspect it will be at least $200 a set. Let me see what he says.

When I started this thread, I was looking for some comments on how to incorporate S10 UBJs and LBJs in the my S10 spindle swap without the typical negative camber. (I'm several weeks away from from actually completing this).

Several good points have been made.
If you are concerned with keeping the factory geometry, then the Wilwood, Aerospace Components and Monza swap solutions are probably still better choices.
Those individuals who try the S10 swap obviously believe the safety and cost benefits are far greater than the pains they encounter from not enough adjustment after the swap.

I'm still convinced that relocating the S10 LBJ mounting is a feasible solution for those on a budget.... the LBJ is the only pivot point that the aftermarket or enthusiasts have not relocated in search of more adjustment. I'll probably still do it and post photos.

That being said, you guys also convinced me that the "holy grail" solution for the S10 spindle/S10 UBJ/S10 LBJ swap is those adjustable tubular control arms, because it is a true bolt-in solution with both camber and caster adjustability.
I think a lot of lot people would stand in line with Colin. In fact, these parts (where to get them and how much) is a topic worthy of it's own thread.

I think so too, guys. I know we already have a crap load of forums but a forum just for parts supplier information would be a big help. It could contain parts posts and suppliers for products like this one. Not a forum for questions or querries but a dump for part suppliers... I've already got a BUNCH of links I could add.

What do you guys think?... Colin?

Okay, guys, I called my friend about the tubular control arms tonight. He says he can make them for $200 a set without ball joints. They will come powder coated. You can have your choice of Vega/Monza or S-10 ball joint bolt patterns. It should take him about 1-2 weeks to make a set.

Not shown in the photo are the rod end spacers so they will bolt in where the old control arm bushings were located in the chassis.

Where do I send my money? And, does it include the spacers?

Next, who wants a pair of stock upper arms with new S-10 ball joints and new bushings. Never seen the road.

Sure, I'll jump. How much? Are they bushings poly or stock?

HA ha. LOL. Me too! I'm in. Where do I send money?
No bushings, Colin, They are Heim joints. No need for bushings just spacers to take up the width.

So where to we send MONEY!?

Brian,

Yes, they will come with the spacers. He'll have to make some up, which may delay delivery a little bit. He says he can have a set made in 1 to 2 weeks. I'll PM you with my address.
