Hey 8.2/8.5'' 10 bolt/12 bolt guys! heres your TA solution!

I talked to Brent at Granny's Speed shop and i asked them about making there Torque Arm setup for the 8.2'' rear end and they told me they make it for the 8.5 and it would be no problem to make it for the 8.2'' rear and they also make it for the 12 bolt rear end as well. i also was quoted a decent price on just the torque arm assembly alone which wasnt bad at all( so i dont have to buy the RX7 affiliated parts). Also the sizes they have on there website ar 33'' and optional 45''(for road racing) but the told me that they can make the torque arm any length you request. i plan on ordering one soon so if i have good luck with it i will let everyone know if i recomend going this route....and maybe they could sponsor our site? it would be a nice option for the stock vega 4 link. Also They seem like really nice guys!

Nice find dude. This would be a good thread for the future Parts Supplier forum...

Sounds great.

Clearance

Postby stage169 » Fri Mar 09, 2007 9:14 pm

My white car is all stock. I took a tape measure to a few spots for reference. The X brace under the engine has 5" of clearance. The driveshaft at 33" from the diff (back where cover bolts on) has 8.75" of clearance. The first pic is at 33" (note exhaust) and then the rearend. Granny's ta might be a good fit. Brian

yeah i think everything will be fine with it because i think it only drops the most 2'' below the rear end.
