Doesn't Chris Alston make some that will work?
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.

Did some checking on this sometime ago. A ready to bolt on package is made by QA1 and is listed for 74-78 Mustang II. Only about 1/4 inch extension difference from a stock shock These are single adjustable coil overs and I know will fit in a Monza and pretty sure will fit Vega also. Comes with conical springs allowing you to adjust ride height as well. I went the other route with double adjustable coilovers which now allow 4 corner adjustment. If you want to spend the $$ for doudle adjustable I have all the part numbers you need to do it. Mine is a super Pro car.

Depends on what you want. For street or strip? I have a backhalved Monza with Koni coilovers on the back and the QA1 double adjustables for the front. Let me know what your plans are.

what about Competition Engineerings 3 way adjustable shocks? they are a direct bolt in for Monza's:

They say they arent meant for the street, but then again neither is a Monza with a built v8 lol! I think it would be lots of fun to try cornering with these shocks.... and just think how much fun it will be doing a wheelie at a traffic light....

(actually there's plenty of pro street guys that use these shocks on the street; just adjust them to 60/40 lol)

I ran these on my 72 Vega before I put in the narrowed 9 inch Ford (with coil overs) . They worked great. I will keep them in the front as long as I keep the stock front suspension.

Hey Greg, what setting do you got your fronts and backs set at?

Unfortunately , this was many years ago so my recall may not be 100% . However in also had a tubbed 68 Nova that was a former drag car and I once took it out with the drag set up still on it . This was in New England with frost heaves and pot holes. I nearly lost it when I hit to consecutive bumps in the road. Banged the front crossmember and the headers....fortunately I had a skid plate protecting the oil pan! I KNOW that at the time the Nova had 90/10 front shocks.

I also know that the Vega had a 50 /50 rear shock and possibly a 70/30 front .... if I run them now I will probably set it to 60/40 on the front....... although Florida roads are much smoother than those of the Northeast

QA-1 Coilovers

Postby vega_man_larry » Fri Apr 06, 2007 12:19 pm

I run the QA-1 single adjustable coilover conversion shocks for the S-10 truck. I cut 1 & 1/2 coils off and have the spring adjusted all the wat down. I run them on the street at setting 2. They work better than any other shock I have tried.

Larry

p. s. I took it on Power Tour 2004 from Milwaukee to Tallahassee Florida, I cut it short because of Tropical Storm Arlene. I live in South Texas so the car did 3 longhauls in 1 Power Tour. these shocks work great on the street.
