Posted: Sun Apr 15, 2007 6:40 pmRear shocks for the 71 only had a stud on the bottom instead of the horizontal bolt attachment.
I saw a service bulletin that said the Vega had trouble going thru automatic car washes (I don't remember automatic car washes from that era, but I also have CRS!) because the stud hung down too far, & for the dealer to cut off the excess stud for a fix.
