Rear Springs

Postby Greg Pitre » Sun May 13, 2007 7:42 am

Hey folks i'm looking to find out what everyone is using for Rear Springs. I have a set of NEW springs in the back but they are not stiff/tall enough. Any suggestions? Also looking for adjustable rear control arms or just all new bushings for the factory ones.

Well, what kind of springs did you buy? The ones for the 4 cylinder, the 6 cyl, or the 8? (Not sure if the rear ones are different but they might be)

I've read on here the 3rd or 4th gen F-body rear springs work well. Don't know any specifics.
If it's just a height problem, there are spacers sold on Ebay from 1" up to about 3".

:D I'm using 82-92 V6/auto Camaro/Firebird rear springs on my 75 Vega hatch back. Both ends of the springs match my Vega, but they give me about 1 1/2-2 inches additional tire clearance above my 235/60-15 drag radials.

It looks great, but I do have to say the car is still engineless: I still have to wait to see how it launches and rides.

I've got 3rd gen Trans Am springs in mine. It raised it about an inch, which in my opinion, gives my car the perfect stance. I was happy with it.
