Moving to the Suspension Forum.
'72 Vega with '93 Camaro LT1/M29 T56/12 bolt 3.31. 16" IROCs all around. Sanderson headers into duals with an H-pipe and Flowmasters. It's loud but at least it's faster than your grandma's Buick. pwned.

I used Monroe Reflex front shocks for a 94 S10 up front on my 77 Monza and on rear i used Monroe Sensa-Tracs for the rear of a 70 Monte Carlo.
I had to make a spacer to fit the bottom hole to smaller Monza/Vega bolt but I fould a set of steel bushings from a Exploder shock in junk at work and they slid right in soooo.
But it handled great.
In retrospect ifthey had had Reflex out for the rears I would have used those.
and yes I had to open the shock holes up for the new shocks to fit.

KYB GR-2 Gas shocks are a decent upgrade for a street car.

I'm running KYB GR-2's but I'd prefer something a bit stiffer. I had KYB Gas-A-Justs on my first Spyder and really liked them but they are out of production.

I spoke to KYB last year and they have no interest in running them again. I even tempted them by saying that I would place a 200 piece minimum order, but nope. They also stated that the tooling had been "destroyed". Not sure if i believe that.

You might want to check the Cosworth forum and see if anyone has any sets of the adjustable SPAX shocks still around. They were available from HME for quite a while and work very well.

I guess they get a lot of call's ,,, ,,But some other ad's were not all away around font and rear listing's ,, just the rear's then with jegs it is listing for just the rear as the front Vega/ monza is up in limbo as Clyde mentioned the front have a travel stop built in to keep from over extending,,,,Also it seems some manufactures have the same part # on the 75 camaro as the 75 Monza ???? (will be shopping for a street ride) my self Mike,,, I will be looking at MonzaRacers formula ,,

I think Steve at Spohn.net carries H-Body shocks.

Someone took my rear shocks and put a exhaust clamp on them and crushed them
all most flat. They work. and they work very good.

rear shocks

Postby chevyart » Wed Mar 12, 2008 11:55 pm

Im going to run a set of adjustable konis that were given to me, and are very expensive. They have the big eye on bottom and threaded rod and rubber bushings on the top. I will make simple metal adaptor to mount on my 75 vega and hook up the shock to it You can use any shock with the bottom eye being correct and making a simple adaptor for the top of the shoick.real simple adaption is big eye on top and bottom like early mopars. most important thing is to use the right length shocks our vegas use a shock that is aproximately 19 1/8 fully opened and 12 1/8 fully closed and should have a ride heigth of about 15 1/2 (middle of shock extension. go to QA1 shocks on internet. They have all types of shocks with all the specs good luck Chevy Art
