my buddies had a 72 hatchback back in the 90,s and they had a 12bolt with slapperstyle bars in the back , they also had no-hop bars as well , they ran mid 10,s on the motor all day , i think the car 60ft,d in the 1.40 range .

if it was my car i,d chat with fasterthensome about his rearsuspension set-up he has built for his monza and switch the car over to a torquearm set-up like frank runs , i,ve seen several eary vega,s converted to the monza/camaro torquearm set-up .

the rear lower controlarms are in the same location , you will need to fabricate a front mount for the torquearm and install a panyard/diagonal link as well .

Is this your car?

It appears to have the vega traction bars on it allready.
Mid 11's are not that hard to get if you have the power and a slick.
