Traction bars/Lift bars, how do they work?

Amazing that the angle of the torque arm has no influence. What's the theory behind this? Is it the fact that the torque arm is rigidly mounted at the rear?

Note that shortening the torque arm increases anti-squat. Wonder how far you can go...

Note that this company claims an adjustable instant center w/ torque arm:

All I know is when my torque arm was shortened but kept at the same angle, my wheel hop disappeared. It was shortened about 40%. I don't have the car any more to measure it.

Has anyone ever used or looked at the Jegster SS rear suspension system?

It appears to be a pair of lift bars with pivots for pinion angle adjustment. A closer look shows that the passenger side behaves like a short torque arm, while the driver side can be set to articulate (street driving) or set rigid (for drag racing) like a southside machine lift bar.

Your reference to the effectiveness of a short torque arm made me wonder if anyone has used the Jegster SS rear suspension on a H-body.
