Idler arm

Postby Astre-mutt » Mon Mar 24, 2008 7:21 pm

Have a little play in my idler arm. I found a new/old stock GM part to replace my old one. Now I'm wondering if a replacement part would be stronger. Is the TRW, Moog, Federal, or some other brand be stronger then the stock part?

I'd be happy with the GM one, I'm sure it is as strong as it needs to be.

Thanks guys, it was such a nice factory part. I thought it mite be better for someone restoring an H-body then just replacement on a modified car. I would have traded for an aftermarket part if someone wanted.

TRW might even make the OEM parts.

Do you know what F body? The parts stores can't always find the parts. I needed a 12 bolt rear cover gasket for my Nova and they said it was not available. I looked up myself several cars and found it only listed for 69 Camaro. Told him thats what I need, it's the same part. They had it in stock.
