I talked to Colin and I asked if we could create an official Tire and rim .. What fits thread.. Please answer as much of the following as possible and post a picture if you can. Pro touring, stock, drag, autocross,prostreet.. Let us know what you got

I can't help much right now. All my cars have 13's (soon to change) except for one that was a work in progress when I got it so I don't have much info. It's an 80 Skyhawk with S-10 spindle/axle swap. It has 15" wheels from a 3rd Gen Z-28. Tires are 215/60/15 and 255/60/15. For some reason the 255's are on the front and 215's on the rear. They need to be reversed. The 255/60/15s rub the fenders when turned. That's about all I can contribute for now.

i can't remember the front tire size but the rear wheels are 14x8 with the reverse offset with 235-60-14 tires

the front wheels are 14x7 i'll post the tire size when i can get it

oh and they are cragar ss wheels i know they are old school but i love em

76 monza coupe v8 non ac springs and matching a arms no motor in the car in the pictures so it is sitting high

rear end is a 12 bolt narrowed with a don hardy kit no brakes yet

I only have whole wheels, not just the rims.
Also, I did not know that a rim had any backspacing. Not sure how you would measure that.
Maybe this should be called the tire and WHEEL thread.

Wheels... Rims... What's the Difference?

Rims are the outer "rim" of the wheel. Rims are like a donut or a ring (they look like a giant wedding band). That is what a "rim" is..."the border edge of something".

Now if you take a "CENTER" (it looks like a dinner plate with holes in it) and put it inside the rim, VOILA! You have a wheel.

Just as 2 plus 2 equals 4...
"CENTER" plus "RIM" equals "WHEEL".

You need both rims and a center to make a wheel. The TIRE on the other hand is the part made of rubber.

First off let me just say this setup is tight. In fact don't try this if a rub now and then bothers you.
If I would change anything I would go with a 225/40 or 215/40 on the front instead of the 225/45's
For a every day driver, you could go with 17X7-17X8 combo with out any problem.

Now this is looking like a good list of wheels and tires for everyone to get ideas from!

im running the 15x7 salad shooters now but i think im going back to the weld wheels. the shooters are 15x7 with 4.25 BS all four. had to run a .5inch spacer on the rear
the weld wheels are summit knock offs 15x7 with 4 inch BS with 235 60 15 BFG's
