Anyone else have this set up? I am a little nervous about wheel selection and backspaceing. I plan on 205/60 15, which measure 24.7".

The swap was a success, I was even able to use the brake hoses that came off the 2000 S10 Blazer. I ended up putting 195/60 15 on the front and 205/60 15 on the rear. Pictures will follow when I get the rear disc conversion completed.

what size front rim did you use? I am looking for (the look and fitment) on my vega, I have 15x5 for the front and was thinking of 175x60's with that rim. when you post pictures it will help me with my ideas.. thanks TC

I used 15x7 with 3.75 back spacing. Hope that helps.

Mine are 17s. Currently, I have a master cylinder with a 1" bore, which makes the pedal pretty hard. I have a 15/16" bore master yet to be installed, which should ease up the pedal pressure required. I use an adjustable proportioning valve for the rear brakes.

Chuck,
Do you have a power booster?

Bill,

Not yet, it's on my list of things to do this year. I did find a 15/16" master from an AMC application which works well, but on the firm side. I had toyed with going back to the 7/8" master for an easier but lower pedal. I'm finishing up the Explorer rear disc conversion, so, since I had a couple of Vega power boosters in the pile, I decided to go with power brakes.

I know this is a dusty post but I have this question, looking at these later model spindles, clearly they have a press in bearing/hub like a 4wd, has anyone looked at the 4wd spindles to see if they are the same? Seems like they look very similar, I am currently junking a 2k S10 and thought if the spindles are the same, I'd pull them before it goes to the great scrap heap. I will grab a few pics and see if I can get some measurements. My parts car has been changed over and has early style S10 spindles on it now.

They're not the same. The ball joint studs point toward one another on the 2WD, they both point downward on the 4WD.
