S10 steering box

I want to pull off my make shift power steering and go with a manual box on my 79 Sunbird. I had read that I could use a S10 box, but would have to use my pitman arm. I got a box and pulled both pitman arms. They are not the same ID foe the box. Did I get the wrong s10 box?
