Front lower control arm bushing washers

Postby my73vega » Sun Mar 25, 2012 9:18 pm

I finaly started rebuilding my 73 Vega GT. Working now on the left front suspension. During the dissassembly of the lower control arm I discovered one of the bushing washer (ferrule) was damaged and unusable. Any idea where I can obtain one or two? Have checked all the obvious sites ( Ebay, Junk yards)

Hello my73vega, welcome to the H-body forum. The best around.

I did a quick search and found several threads.

Here is one link: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36516&start=15#p209808

If this doesn't answer your question(s) try the "search" window, upper right.

Also, Clyde may be able to locate some for you.

Good luck.

cheers, jer

Hey members, after only a week or so trying to obtain the hard to get ferrules I was lucky enough to find a set from 79 formula sunbird. My thanks to him and the H-Body Community for the help. I have finally decided to rebuild my original 73 Vega GT to original as I possibly can. Except for the SB 350 and Turbo 350 Trans. its original. Drove it in the late 70s and early 80's with the V8 and loved it. I parked it when my twin boys were born 31 years ago. This is like a barn find with history. Will post more if anyone is interested.

Welcome to the site. H-body stories are what makes this board hum, let us know more but maybe you should start a new thread in the 'General Discussion' area so more folks will see it.

I'm sure there is interest in your re-discovered Vega. You won't find a bigger group of enablers than the guys on this forum.
