moser no longer redrilling monza rotors

Postby wrightway » Fri Apr 12, 2013 8:08 pm

I sent my monza rotors to moser to have redrilled to 5x4.5 bolt pattern.
they sent them back and said they cannot do it.
I know of 2 sets that i have personaly seen done by moser
and seen many online that have been done by them.
They gave me two different answers as to why one was 1 stud will hit the support vane and the other was the inside diameter is to small and the studs will hit
both the answers are bs as every set i have seen done had the same issues.
I can only guess that they have had a liability issue

Did you request press in studs? I know those won't work but they did do my rotors with screw in studs.

Did yours have the four vanes on the inside diameter?

I think all Monza rotors have the vanes. The ones they did for me have them. One of the studs just barely cut into one vane.

Any competent automotive machine shop can re-drill those rotors. I had mine done locally.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but did you ever get your rotors done? I have Monza rotors on my '73 GT and was thinking of having them redrilled as opposed to doing the S-10 swap. Haven't approached my local machine shop yet.
