This was posted for a 75 and up h-body with deep pocket lower control arms.
I dont know if it matters or not.
I use these shocks for my 75 vega.

Shock PN: KG5450 ($36.28 @ Summit)

Tie Bar mod: Have to take about 0.300" off from the total width (0.150" each side) and then deepen the bolts slots accordingly (use a Monza shock as a pattern). I used a file and it took me an hour to do both shocks.

And he's gonna need the deep pocket arms with those v8 monza springs.
The car will be too stiff once they are cut to fit shallow pocket arms.

From what others have posted here, the V8 Monza springs are too stiff and ride quality is bad. That will be the op call once he gets the first ride in.
I went with V6 Monza springs, S10 shocks posted above and deep pocket lower control arms. I haven't driven the car yet but this seems to be a popular combo. Will report back once I get to drive it.

So if I decide not to use the moog 5626 v8 springs on my vega and go to the 5264 springs for the better ride quality , will I still have the issue with the control arm pockets ? looking like I will put the v8 springs up for sale one way or another ! Thanks for any more info you can give me guys . You have been a big help to someone who is just getting back into the game .

Yes you will still need deep pocket lower control arms with the taller Monza springs.
