What parts do I need? Who has them?

You need everything from the backing plates on out. You may have to slightly modify the center hole in the rear drum if you keep the original 75 4 lug axles. It's a bolt on affair but you need everything that bolts on to the axle. Best bet is to find a donor car and get everything at once.

I guess I would ask 'why'.

Dick, why what? The larger rear drums are a nice addition to a early H body especially combined with the later style vented front rotors.

Plus the drums are not made from unobtainium like the 75's are.

I was outside in the sun all day and my mind read that he wanted to switch to 75 brakes. I think I'll have to double read things from now on! Sorry about my confusion. :bang:

I got the backing plates out of a '77 Monza at the salvage yard, as well as some axles and drums (cores) out of a '85 S-10 2WD. Which internal brake parts should I buy (shoes, springs, adjuster, wheel cylinder, etc.)...Monza or S-10?

Reason I ask is that the Monza brake shoes are proving difficult to find.

Thanks,
Kurt

Rock Auto shows several different manufacturers of rear brake shoes.
