New Monza Rotors

Did everyone quit re-making these? Napa, Autozone, and the other main stores can't get them. Looking for new ones for a 77 Spyder v8.

The short answer is yes, they are now obsolete. However, I do have a set on ebay now. If you'd like you can contact me direct on them at cjbiagi@yahoo.com

They are still available from rockauto.com for $20 each.

Nope, if you try ordering them it comes back as "unfortunately not available and have been removed from your cart".

Rockauto does run out of items, but they usually find other sources relatively quickly. I had they same problem on some items, but reordered at a later date to receive them. I have recently ordered these and received them.

I have been watching this brake rotor thing for a while, it appears none of the brake manufacturers are making these any more. Even the big rotor places on ebay, they list them but when I contacted them they all said the same thing, not available. There may still be some out there, but things are getting scarce.

Every time I made an order with rockauto, I would add a pair of these rotors to my order. As you mentioned, it typically resulted in an immediate response that they weren't available, but I persisted and eventually the order took and I got a pair.

Anyone try these?

I'm planning on upgrading my 75's brakes to the later 76-80 vented and don't really want to get into 5 bolt wheels (at least not yet) since I have a nice set of aluminum slots.

I'm thinking these rotors should make for nice stopping performance on the street with the factory style 76-80 braking setup - Thoughts?

R-1 Concepts list a few options. I purchased a pair of slotted/ cross drilled rotors from them several years ago, but never installed them. They weren't cheap, but I did get them, they looked alright and they still list them.

I have R1 Concepts on my car but I don't believe they have them any longer. I was going to pick up a extra set of drilled /slotted ones. I think I still still have a extra set of new ones if anyone really needs them. cjbiagi@yahoo.com
