I have removed my steering box to clean it up and degrease ect..but I notice when I turn the shaft if feels like its rough in the middle and smoother when going right or left, just a small area in the middle has a rough feeling, does anyone know if this is normal?? Never noticed it when it was hooked up to the steering wheel..

Most of the wear does occur right on center, I can't say for sure if that feeling is normal but I doubt that it is.

Did you notice it turning the steering wheel? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yes Chuck good idea, it felt fine at the wheel, just getting way to anal.

I think I have a couple used ones of these just taking up space if anyone is interested, $25 plus shipping with pitman arm.
