Front end adjustments.

Postby T-FATTY » Sat Aug 01, 2015 6:59 pm

Want to make some rough adjustments before it goes to alignment shop.
How and where do I adjust the following?
Camber, how where to adjust?
Caster, how where to adjust?
Toe, how where to adjust?

Thanks in advance.

The front end is aligned using the 4 cam bolts which also serve to connect the lower control arm to the frame. The rear cams on each control arm adjust the caster, the front ones adjust the camber. Toe is adjusted by turning the sleeve that connects the inner and outer tie rods. It's not overly difficult but if you have no idea what you are doing it's probably best just to get to the alignment shop. The main one that will quickly wear your tires is the toe adjustment. Basically you want both wheels pointing straight ahead to get it to the shop. All 3 adjustments are somewhat dependent upon the others and you always want to do toe last. If you get it reasonable close you can drive it to the shop assuming it isn't too far.....
