Power Brake Parts?

Postby herkey43 » Fri Jan 08, 2016 3:37 pm

Hello... Thanks in advance for your wisdom. I am going a little bit nuts trying to get parts together to put power brakes on my 74 Kammback. I am running dropped S-10 spindles with vented, drilled, and slotted brakes in front. Rear has disk brakes on a Don Hardy Rear End. I'm using a Camero master cylinder with 1" bore. The brakes are adequate, but far from impressive. I would like to run a Monza Booster, but they are not available anyplace that I can find. Been looking for Cardone #54-71300 or Acdelco #14PB4297. Summit has several generic Booster/Master setups. I see the firewall mounting holes in those are closer spaced than Vega. Has anyone had any experience with similar setups? I'm not sure if I can use the Camaro master... thought I read somewhere it does not fit in the Booster. I know this has been done a million times, but any advice is welcome.

Also, the stock Monza MC is 7/8 bore. You might want to go with a 1 inch bore MC for your app. As long as it is Chevy, with same spacing for MC mounting, it should work.
