Can someone tell me a brand and part number for a replacement torque arm bushing for a Monza/ Sunbird with 151CI 4-cyl and auto trans? From what I see the ones for 3rd gen Camaro might work - but apparently are slightly different by year and model. A brand/ part number would help. Thanks.

What year is your car? Does it have the round rubber bushing or the interlocking type?

1980. The 4 cyl has the interlocking bushing,

The newer F-Bodies used that style, but I can't say for sure that they interchange. If you take yours out you may find a local parts store with one in stock for the Camaro/Firebird to do a side by side with. Post back your results please. I seem to recall that the F bodies are different, don't know if they could be made to work. I tried looking up the part number for the interlocking H body bushing but I don't even see it listed in the GM parts manual, only the round one (which I can get if anyone needs). I will look again, ........

Here is a side-by side of the two Energy Suspension bushings. The 3-1111 is used on 93-02 Camaro/ Firedbird, and the 3-1112 is used on the 84-92s.



You can see the differences in the sides as well as the protrusion. From these pictures, it appears that the 3-1112 might be the one to work, but you can't tell for sure.

From Clyde's post there is a photo showing the two types of bushings used. The parts on the right show the two piece bushing. You can see that the original bushing bolted to the mounting bracket. You can also see that the contour of the outside bracket (top bracket in the picture) and the position of the torque arm relative to the contour seem to match the 3-1112.



I sent an email to Energy Suspensions asking them what they know. Will post their reply.'

Without additional info, I won't be able to tell which one can be workable until I tear down the car, which won't be for a few weeks or longer.
