Manual steering box conversion

Postby Jlegge007 » Sat Apr 02, 2016 8:24 pm

Let me know if I got this right.
I have a 74 vega with power steering. The square top 800 series box. I'm going to use hooker 2129 headers so I want to use the monza/cosworth box for the tighter ratio instead of the s-10 (525) box. The monza/cosworth box is a 525 too?? Anyhow, my pitman arm will only fit the s-10 manual box and not the monza/cosworth box. I have needed to have the other power steering box (605 or something ) for the right Pittman arm to fit the the monza/cosworth box. Easy swap for the s-10 box but if I could find a monza /cosworth box I would need the pitman arm I don't have on my power steering box. Any help here would be greatly appreciated! !
