My manual steering gear box is leaking some. Starting to turn hard, and wondering how to add fluid without removing the 3 bolt cap. Will one of the 3 bolts have an open thread bottom that the fluid can be added through?

John Deere corn head grease,it is thin enough to flow into gears but thick enough to not leak out worn seals

The manual steering gear lubricant is GM #12377985 available from most GM dealers, also look at places that sell early Corvette parts for the GM stuff and they sell a hollow bolt for the top plate with a zerk fitting to get it in the steering box.

a little air space is ok, if you can see it rising in the center hole it should be good.
