Front springs/ride hieght

I need the front of my 72 to sit about 1" to 1.5" higher. Now that it is all back togather, hood, bumper, ect... I sits too low.
I have no clue what springs in it now. How do I go about figuring what spring will yield the closest desired results? Without a lot of guess work.
Is there a way to scale the car and get this info, right the 1st time???

Extra info. All steel body car, a little extra steel up front. Engine bay bars and such.
All Aluminum LS engine, and 5spd trans.
To give you an idea of what kinda weight I got up front.
Educated guesses accepted...LOL
Thanks

The Monza V6 coil springs are what the group suggested to me and my 73 wagon sits nice with a iron head SBC. You'll need to have the "deep pocket" Monza lower control arms to use those springs.

Thanks for the input. Aint changing the LCA's, Too much work in them changing them to S-10 Ball Joints.
I guess I may just use spacer. IDK.

It sounds like a spacer may be the best choice if your happy with the spring rate.

Of course you could put coil over on then it would be adjustable.

scroll down on the link to see the spring spacers offered by spc. note that adding a 1" spacer will raise front end more than 1"

They also make 3" lift spindles for S10's though that may be too much.

I'm running Monza V6 springs (Moog 5626) with shallow picket LCA's. Mine have 2 1/2 coils cut out to achieve my ride height. So it is possible to use them with some cutting also you can cut to desired height. You may want to go with the next spring rate lower V6 no a/c 5624 I believe since you have an LS compared to my iron small block. Hope this helps.

Tinker,

Sure do, no fenders on at the moment, hoping to get them back from media blast this week then I can test fit and take some pictures to get a good gauge of ride height. Looks like it should sit well so far.

Hard to see ride height in this pic since its on the trailer but gives you an idea

Camber is off quite a bit in this one.

With springs in no shocks.

Is the install of the deep pocket lcr's a simple bolt in on a 72 vega?

Yes more or less. Removing the old bolts can be a challenge.

From what I remember, and seems to be confirmed looking at the spring listing in the FAQ (http://h-body.org/library/hbodyfaq/index.html), starting in 1975 all H-body cars went to the deep-pocket lower control arms.
