how do I make my suspention stiffer

Postby 1977astre » Thu Apr 27, 2017 3:39 am

I have a 1977 astre notchback completely stock. I'm trying to put larger tires on but the suspention is 2 soft. is there any way to make it stiff like a new car so the tires don't rub. maybe shocks from a different car. please help

being your car has the deep pocket front lower control arms, you can use the various monza v-8 and v-6 front coil springs, and for the rear springs, you can use the 82-92 camaro rear coil springs, which will raise the rear 1 to 1 1/2". someone else could maybe suggest the best front coil spring for you to use. someone will chime in. art

I'm not really looking to lift the car any I want it stock height or a couple inches lower. I was told something about nove shocks work on front and rear and will stiffen up the suspention. can anyone confirm this
