Does anyone have the correct part number?

All I can find is the 1 1/8 part number, 710.

It has to be the bent version as I am running the 140 ci engine. Need to clear the Lower Pulley.

Thanks in advance.

I am running a straight front bar, the bent version is for the V8. I'll have to do some searching for the part number.

Are you running a 140 ci engine?

What is the part number for the bar that you are running? Is it a solid bar?

I have a 1'' and the 1 1/8 bar for the front.

Would really like a 1 1/4 bar for the front of my Vega.

Thanks for any help.

This forum is great for us H Body guys and gals.

I have a Cosworth, virtually the same on the bottom end to the 140. I have been searching for the part number. The CVOA had a special run of bars a number of years ago, that's what I'm trying to find to get the part number.

I may have a lead on a 1 1/4 front bar, another CVOA member checking to see what he has. I'll let you know what he finds. Does it have to be an Addco? At this point no one has a part number, their 1 1/8 bar is stock #710 from the same member. Have you checked with Addco to see if they would make one like #710 except for being 1 1/4?

It doesn't have to be an Addco.
I was going to check here for a part number, if one is available, before I called Addco in order to try to be better prepared.

I will call them Tuesday to see what is available.

My Brother and I run an Asphalt Circle Track Car and would like to go up on the front bar.

We have the Monza 1 1/8 bent solid bar on there now, it would make for a more consistent change to go up with the same style bar.

Thank You for your time and efforts for this info, it is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately my friends bar turned out to be 1 inch. Addco did make a special run a few years ago of 1 1/4. I've asked on the Cosworth Facebook page if anyone has one available.

You can also use poly frame mounts along with poly end links to stiffen up the bar and make it react more quickly. I made teflon lined heim joint end links instead of the stock type for a more direct connection. All of these things will give the same effect as a slightly larger bar. I use this in conjunction a 1 1/8" bar (which was the largest factory bar offered) and it works very well.

That is good advice.
We use the poly on the bar to frame mounts.
We are allowed an adjustable sway bar, so we tie it down on the drivers side with poly, welded in a slide tube on the RF with an eyelet welded to a 5/8 threaded rod.

This make it real easy to run a neutral sway, or slightly loaded if you prefer.

I wish they would allow us aftermarket control arms. :bang:
