lowering front end

Postby jim327monza » Sat Jun 03, 2017 6:30 am

After doing the s-10 swap front and rear the front of the car is too high. 76monza, factory v8,ps,pb.ac using s-10 14 inch rims w/bfg 205-70-r14. Stock v-8 spring and shocks. front end sits at 27 inch at center line of fender wells. After reading old post, it seams that their are 3 options . Cut the springs, adjustable coilovers , drop spindles. What effect dose lowering the front end have on castor/camber issues? If you cut the spring ,do you need to use a shorter shock and what effect dose this have on spring rate? adjustable coilovers seem to be the simple way to go, how much can they drop? 2" drop spindles
are relatively cheep, have a known amount of drop but no adjustablity . combination of drop spindles and coilovers? what do you think? as always all though and comments are welcome!
Thanks in advance, Jim H.
