castle nuts and brake hoses

Preparing to do the S10 spindle and brake swap on my 72 using the v8monza.com ball-joint bushing kit.

On the site they state using some different GM castle nuts on the ball-joints, but none of the numbers are any good. I even tried Obsolete GM Parts. Does anyone have a suggestion or what have you used. The Blog says the nuts that come with the upper vega joints and lower Monza joints are too small for the S10 spindles. Any word on that?

Also the brake hoses listed TRUSTOP 4136845 is also a bad number. I am going to try NAPA for the called out hose for a 76 Nova. Unless there are better ideas out there?

Already have 15X3.5 & 15X7 Center Line Autodrags ready to go. Can't wait for 5lug...

Thanks once again...

a 1/2"-20 flange nut has a solid base larger than 7/8" and can be slotted with an 1/8" cutoff wheel.

I used a thin stainless washer and a slightly smaller cotter pin.

I doing the same on mine. A friend already did, and he used a washer too. That's what I'm doing too. Too easy.
