Wheel cylinders/brake setup

Postby crawfw » Mon Sep 11, 2017 3:57 pm

I recall having a slight leak in one of my wheel cylinders last time I had the drums off.
Is it likely I still have the hbody hardware/shoes and wheel cylinders or s10?
I know it's kinda a silly question but the 5 lug setup was done before I purchased the car.
79 sunbird coupe.
I know the calipers and master cylinder can be changed to s10 also but not sure if mines been done.
Any help on what to look for would be appreciated. Brakes are pretty dismal and small front reservoir on master cylinder is nearly empty so I need to do some wrenching.

As I recall there was no need to replace the 76 and later brake hardware to do a 5 lug upgrade. So my guess it's still Monza parts.

Thanks Clyde,
Are wheel cylinders available?
I'm assuming their are other gm vehicles that used the same.
G body and f body maybe?

If you can't find them at your local parts store there's some on rockauto.com.
