PS Pump Brackets Alternative - MerCruiser

Postby Mark in INdiana » Sun Feb 18, 2018 4:27 pm

In searching for Monza V8 PS pump and brackets, I came across a set up on MerCruiser boat PS pump set up that maybe a viable alternative. I ended up with both set ups so here is a comparison using the same Monza pump/pulley. Tips: if you’re going after the MerCruiser, get the entire pump, brackets, spacers, washers and double ended pump mounting stud. It will save a bunch of time rounding it all up. I bought just the bracket set on eBay and had to go to an online marine site to figure it out and get them. Then, the 3/8” longer double ended stud came from Classic Industries for a Pontiac. I’m in the parts gathering stage right now, don’t have SBC but here are some pics comparing the set ups. I hope this helps......
